Body

Overview

The Borough is transitioning to a new Mitel phone system that includes updated desk phones, voicemail, and the MiCollab application for managing calls from your computer. This article provides information about the migration process, important transition considerations, voicemail setup, installing and accessing MiCollab, and where to find training resources.

Phone Migration Tips

During the migration to the MiCollab system, some features may behave differently while staff are being moved to the new phone platform. These temporary issues will be resolved once all users have been migrated. Expected project completion is the end of September 2026.

  • Dialing: When calling staff who have not yet migrated, you may need to dial their full 10-digit phone number. Try dialing the 4-digit extension first.
  • Caller ID: Internal calls from the legacy phone system may appear as "MSB Admin" instead of the caller's name."
  • Call History: Redial and missed call history is not available.
  • Directory/Contacts: The directory will continue to grow as users are migrated. Some contacts may not be available immediately.
