How to Change Your Apple ID Email Address on a Phone or Tablet

Instructions: 

1. Prepare for the Change

  • Ensure your device is connected to a stable internet connection.
  • Make sure you have access to the new email address you want to use. Apple will send a verification email to this address.

2. Access Apple ID Settings

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap on your name at the top of the screen to access your Apple ID settings.

3. Edit Your Apple ID Email

  1. In the Apple ID menu, select Sign-In & Security.
  2. Under the Email & Phone Number section, find your current Apple ID email.
  3. Tap the arrow button next to your Apple ID email.

4. Change the Email Address

  1. Tap on the red Remove from Account then select Delete.
  2. Tap Add Email or Phone Number, then choose Add an Email Address.
  3. Enter your new email address and tap Next.

5. Verify the New Email
