Instant Messaging, Conferences, and Screen Sharing
Instant Messaging, scheduled conferences, and screen sharing through Mitel Connect are not available due to security restrictions that prevent secure access to these features. Instead, the IT Department has introduced Microsoft Teams to Departments, which offers enhanced functionality in these areas.
Instant Messaging: Mitel Connect does not support instant messaging due to limitations in providing secure access. Microsoft Teams has been implemented as an alternative solution for instant messaging needs.
Generating Conferences: Generating scheduled conferences through Mitel Connect is not possible due to security policies restricting applications from modifying Outlook. Instead, users are encouraged to generate conferences through Outlook or utilize the reservation-less conference bridge.
Screen Sharing: Screen sharing functionality is unavailable in Mitel Connect due to security constraints. Microsoft Teams, which has been deployed by the IT Department, offers robust screen sharing capabilities along with video conferencing features.
By leveraging Microsoft Teams, Departments can enjoy seamless communication and collaboration, including instant messaging, scheduled conferences, and screen sharing, in a secure and efficient manner.
