Managing Voicemails

Overview:

To manage voicemail effectively and ensure important messages are not missed, it's essential to be mindful of the storage limit and regularly delete unwanted messages. The voicemail system allows for a maximum of 40 messages per individual, including those in the Inbox and Saved Folders. This ensures that the voicemail system operates efficiently and smoothly for all users. Below are instructions on how to delete unwanted voicemail messages and how to save important messages for future reference.

Instructions:

  1. Dial-In Method:

    • Dial into your voicemail.
    • Listen to heard, unheard, and/or saved messages.
    • Press 3 to delete the selected message.
  2. Using Mitel Connect:

    • Open Mitel Connect.
    • Right-click on the message you wish to delete.
    • Move the message to the Deleted Folder.
  3. Email Notifications:

    • If you receive email notifications for voicemail, deleting the email notice will move the corresponding voicemail to the Deleted Folder.

Saving Important Voicemails:

  • If you need to save a voicemail indefinitely:
    • Open Mitel Connect.
    • Right-click on the voicemail you wish to save.
    • Select "Download Voicemail as WAV."
    • Save the file to the appropriate location on your computer or shared drive.

Note: Deleted messages are permanently removed from the system at 2:00 am every night and cannot be recovered. Therefore, ensure you have saved any important voicemails before deleting them from your voicemail inbox.
