Driving Focus

Overview


How to turn on and use "Driving Focus" for automated text messages while driving. 

Tools and Materials Needed

Steps to Follow 

Apple's Walkthrough

  1. Go to Apple's how-to listed HERE (if unable to access website, follow instructions below.)

Setup Driving Focus

  1. Go to Settings > Focus, tap the Add button, then tap Driving.

  2. Tap Customize Focus.

  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your options, like Allowed Notifications.

Enable Driving Focus

  1. Open Control Center.

  2. Touch and hold Focus, then tap Driving to turn it on or off.

Turn on the Driving Focus automatically

  1. Go to Settings > Focus, then tap Driving.

  2. Tap While Driving under Turn on Automatically, then select one of the listed options.

Customize your notifications

  1. Go to Settings > Focus, then tap Driving.

  2. Under Allowed Notifications, tap People.

  3. Tap Allow Notifications From or Silence Notifications From.

  4. Tap Add People, then select the contacts that you want to allow or silence notifications from.

Turn on Auto-Reply

  1. Go to Settings > Focus, then tap Driving.

  2. Tap Auto-Reply.

  3. Select an option, like No One, Recents, Favorites, or All Contacts.

  4. From here, you can customize the auto-reply message that people get when they message you while a Driving Focus is on.
