Changing your CM Startup Window

This document provides instructions on how to change the window(s) that display when you launch CM. By default, this setting is set to open your Favorite Records but there are other options to choose from that users may find more useful. 

                                                                                                                                                                                                               

1.       In CM go to the File Drop Down on your menu bar

2.       Go to Options and then select Startup

3.       You will see this dialog box:

4.       Scroll through the list of options and select the window(s) you would like to launch first when you open CM. Please note, you can also tag more than one option and cascade your windows. A few popular options include:

a.       Record Due Tray – For those that regularly process records using the Action Tracking process.

b.       Favorite Records – This is the current setting default.

c.       Favorite Classifications – For those that possibly create new folders or perform searches frequently.

d.       Recent Containers or Recent Documents – Gain quick access to the last 25 containers or documents you worked with.

e.       User Labels – For those that may have a number of project or records assigned to a User Label for quick access and grouping.

5.       Once you have your option(s) selected hit OK. You will need to close out of CM and reopen the application to see the change take effect.
