Find & Replace Title on Records

 

FIND AND REPLACE TITLE ON RECORDS

This document provides instructions on how to find and replace text in a title for record containers and documents.

You will need to have permissions to perform this feature in CM.  If you don’t have it, please enter a help desk ticket. The permissions will be granted for one month. 

 

 

 

1.       Find and highlight the record(s) you want to update the title on

2.       Right Click, select Administrative Tools and then Replace Phrase

3.       If more than 1 record is tagged, OK at All Tagged Rows, otherwise you will open the Replace Phase Dialog Box.

 

 

 

 

4.       At the Search for Field find the word(s) you want replace.

5.       At the Replace with insert the words you want replaced.

6.       Select OK

Note, it is Important to play with this feature and get a good understanding of how it works before you do a large batch.
