Overview
This is a generic overview of how the layout widgets work
you may have access to add items, but not to create them. Sometimes, access can be given to create or edit these things, but in most cases, the faster course of action is to submit a new ticket (link) for GIS or web to create the item(s).

Searching for Items in Esri
For many items, you may need to use the search system to select your items. Some examples are surveys, maps, and discussion boards. To search for the item, each type of content has a "Select" button. First hit that Select button.
1. Search using the filters to find the content you are looking for. The "From" section is where the content is stored. If you created it, use the My Content option - it is usually the default. If you did not create the content, the best option is My Organization. There are very few instances where you would grab content from the World (Public) option.

2. Some widgets allow you to select from multiple types of content. To help filter out what you need, select the type of content you are looking for (optional).
3. Once you have found your survey, click to the left to select it. Note that in some cases (like the site menu), content that is already a part of the gallery, menu, etc, will show in the list already checked.

Common Settings
Click the "Enable Sharing" field. No items should have this turned on.
