Shared Calendar or Mailbox Access

Overview

Request access to calendars, mailboxes, or email distribution lists in Microsoft 365 / Outlook. Typical scenarios include: requesting edit/read access to a calendar, requesting access to a mailbox, or requesting adding/removing a person to an email distribution group.

Before submitting this request

  • Obtain supervisor or mailbox/calendar owner approval for each resource you are requesting.

  • Collect the following information ahead of time:

    • Name of the requesting user(s)

    • Email address of the shared calendar, mailbox, or email distribution group

    • Permission level (e.g. View Only, Edit, Send on Behalf)
