Overview

Get help with door access permissions and adjustments to automatic door schedules for facilities across the Borough.

Description of service

This service covers:

  • Programming badges for new hires, contractors, or visitors

  • Adding or removing access to specific doors, zones, or time‐based access groups

  • Adjusting automatic unlock/lock schedules for public entrances or after‐hours events

  • Coordinating with Facilities for door hardware issues or alarm integrations

Before submitting this request

  • Obtain supervisor, department head, or HR approval for any new badge or replacement badge

  • Gather the following details:

    • Full name of the individual (match legal ID for new badge)

    • Employee/contractor ID and department

    • Badge number (for replacements or updates)

    • Door numbers, building names, or access zones needed

    • Desired access schedule (24×7, Mon–Fri 08:00-17:00, event-specific dates/times)

    • Business justification (e.g., new role, project need, public meeting)

    • Effective date and, if temporary, the end date for access
