Peripheral

Overview

Request new or replacement computer peripherals, such as monitors, OWLs, docking stations, external drives, scanners, adapters, specialty cables, and similar accessories.
Peripheral orders are placed year-round; there is no restricted purchasing window.

Description of service

This service handles the sourcing, ordering, and deployment of standard peripherals. Technicians will:

  • Verify compatibility with existing Borough hardware and software

  • Recommend hardware that best fits your requirements

  • For some peripherals, we will deliver, install, and test the peripheral at the your workspace or designated location

Typical scenarios include adding a second monitor for productivity, replacing a failed docking station, or installing a webcam.

Please note that you do not need to request IT approval for a one-off, inexpensive purchase of a keyboard and/or mouse for your workstation. In such situations, these are considered office supplies; we still recommend you reach out if you would like advice about what to buy, or if you have questions about specific hardware compatibility.
