Get support with virtual meetings on Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or other electronic-meeting platforms.

Description of service

This service provides:

  • Creating or reviewing meeting invitations, lobby settings, and recording options

  • Configuration of meeting settings and attendee permissions, if needed

  • Pre-meeting equipment checks for cameras, microphones, speakers, and headsets

  • Troubleshooting of connection issues, echo/feedback, video freezing, or screen-sharing failures during the meeting

  • Guidance on meeting best practices and recording storage/retention

Before submitting this request

  • Teams is the primary meeting platform for use in the Borough. If you are the meeting host, please use Teams.

  • Reserve any physical room (if needed) and ensure network connectivity is available.

  • Gather the following details:

    • Meeting title and organizer

    • Date, start/end time, and expected number of online & in-person attendees

    • Required features (recording, attendee permissions, phone dial-in)

    • Host device type (laptop, podium PC, mobile) and any external peripherals (USB camera, meeting Owl)

Submit requests at least one business day in advance; same-day issues will be handled on a best-effort basis.

How we process this request

Once we receive your request, we will assign a technician who will:

  • Assist with meeting setup

  • Review meeting details and confirm required features.

  • Conduct a brief pre-meeting test session if requested and available.
