Reclassification Request

Description of service: 

When a position's job duties have significantly changed or an organizational restructure is required for operational needs, current job descriptions may be looked at for reclassification. 

Before submitting this request: 

Do you have a new job description? If the answer is no, reach out to Human Resources. We can help you select a current job description that might need minimal changes and can be used as a starting point.

How we process this request:

Human Resources reviews request and submits to Classification Committee if warranted.

Please note: This request should be made from a Department Director. If you are a supervisor who has discovered a need, please reach out to your Director to discuss and start the process. If you are a bargaining unit employee, who believes you are working outside of your job scope, please refer to the Employee Reclassification Request or speak with your MSBEA Union Representative.
