Description of service:
As outlined in the Employee Handbook and Collective Bargaining Agreement:
Thousand (1000) Hour Employees:
- Annual Limit: May not work more than 1000 hours in any 12-month period, calculated from the most recent hire date.
- Weekly Limit: Restricted to a maximum of 29.9 hours per week.
On-Call Emergency Responder Employees:
- Annual Limit: May not work more than 1500 hours in any 12-month period, calculated from the most recent hire date.
- Weekly Limit: Restricted to a maximum of 29.9 hours per week.
This request is seeking permission to go over the 29.9-hour weekly limit for an employee based on a critically emergent and unavoidable situation.
Before submitting this request:
Questions to ask yourself before proceeding. Is this a critically emergent and unavoidable situation? Why? How many hours are you expecting to go over the limit? On what dates will this occur? How do you plan to offset the overage over the next pay period?
How we process this request:
All information is routed through the Borough Manager for approval or denial. Human Resources notifies all concerned parties of the results.
