Temporary Assignment - Immediate Assignment (DES ONLY)

Overview:

Description of service:

To maintain operations and avoid disruptions, the Borough may temporarily assign qualified employees to designated emergency service roles when there's an urgent need due to a vacancy or absence. This ensures continuity of essential services, particularly in critical response areas. All temporary appointments require a written delegation by the Department Director and approval by the Borough Manager prior to assignment.  If the temporary assignment lasts more than ten consecutive working days, it transitions to a scheduled assignment with updated terms.
